Apple adjusts the proportion of manufacturing in various regions, or transfers 25% of China's production to India

Recently, an analyst from JPMorgan Chase (Xiaomo), a well-known investment bank, said in the latest report that Apple would increase the proportion of products assembled and manufactured in India, which would rise to 25% by about 2025, that is, one fourth of Apple's mobile phones would be assembled and manufactured in India.

A new report says that by 2025, the manufacturer may produce 25% of iPhones in India. "The mass production progress of iPhone 14 in India this year is still about six weeks later than that in China, but the gap has improved significantly. Therefore, it is reasonable toexpect that India and China will be able to produce new iPhone 15 at the same time next year."

According to JPMorgan analysts quoted by Reuters, due to geopolitical uncertainty and strict epidemic prevention policies, Apple hopes to produce 25% of its iPhones in India by 2025, and the company hopes to transfer some of its iPhone production lines from China.

The report also said thatApple is expected to transfer about 5% of iPhone 14 production to India from the end of 2022. Analysts quoted in the report also estimated that by 2025, Apple may include Mac, iPad, Apple  About 25% of the output of all products, including Watch and AirPods, is brought outside China. At present, only 5% of apple production comes from outside China.

Apple began assembling iPhones in India in 2017. The company currently manufactures iPhones in India through its suppliers Wistron and Foxconn. With the government promoting local manufacturing through production related incentives (PLI) and other plans, and the continuing geopolitical tensions in China, it is reported that Apple plans to transfer most of its iPhone production to India.
